AIBS Trackbit is a low cost Real-Time Location Solution (RTLS) for tracking people and assets and gain real time information on the status of the assets, people and workflows. It engages Zigbee over WiFi wireless protocols to achieve the same. Trackbit RTLS tags, Routers and TrackMe software together improves managements visibility by exposing the behavior of otherwise hidden low level key business performance indicators.It helps in improving operational efficiency and workflow.
Real-time location systems (RTLS) allow one to locate people or assets in real time. RTLS add value to a lot of business domains from transportation to manufacturing, agriculture to healthcare. Trackbit Tags
Tags are the actual low-cost tracking device that will be attached to the people and assets. It sends out RF signals indicating its presence. Tags uses Zigbee wireless protocol to send out signals indicating its presence at any given location. These RF signals are intercepted by the router that is in its range. Router uses its Wi-Fi adaptor to push the data to the existing Wi-Fi backbone. Light weight battery powered tags can be attached to the assets or can be worn by the people.
Trackbit tags are powered by batteries and have a life expectancy anywhere from 18 to 24 months depending on how frequently the tags transmits RF signals.
Trackbit Router
Trackbit routers forms the backbone for the RTLS solution. As tags enter the range of a router the RF signals that it generates will be picked up by the router. Router use its ZigBee adaptor to receive the data. It pushes the data to the existing Wi-Fi backbone using its Wi-Fi adaptor. Routers can be configured to generate a range as low as 7m and as high as 60m. Resolution/granularity of location tracking will depend on the density of the routers.

TrackMe Desktop Software
TrackMe, a tracking software will provide live updates graphically clearly depicting the movement of the each of the devices being tracked. This software can convert building floor plans into interactive GUI where users can self-configure their backbone network layout through simple drag and drop mechanism available in TrackMe interface. As opposed to RFID based RTLS, Trackbit tags provides more real time location with higher accuracy by transmitting RF signals every two seconds at considerably lesser cost.
TrackMe provides user interface for tag and router configuration. Software provides UI for nursing stations and patient movement service team to raise requests for wheel chairs, stretchers and portable biomedical equipment. UI provides search interface for find wheel chairs or stretchers that are free or close to be free so that it can be allocated to another task. Staff and patient movement can be monitored to improve the overall workflow efficiency.
TrackMe Android App
Android app provides the following capabilities.
Easy configuration of routers by scanning the QR code printed on the product using mobile devices and placing them on the building floor plan.Porters get to see their queued jobs, they can also flag completion of their current jobs. Porters can request for lift priority to transport patients quickly and request is only validated if the porter with an asset is waiting near the lift. Lift operator alerts to lock the lifts and save space for waiting patients based on porter request.
